Great job! I love how you kept trying to bring someone some love even though there were negative people in the way. Maybe those negative ones will reflect later on and see how nice that was of you.

I love the lesson! That regardless of being “knocked down” on a mission to “lift up” we need to press on. For me this a mirror for life everyday, how many times do we go to the store or your local market, or running errands and your bombarded by negativity and cranky people somedays? If we allowed every “negative nelly” to douse our light and our sense of feeling positive we would never want to get out of bed! But we know that what we think we create – by keeping a positive attitude and kindness in our hearts we have the ability to change lives whether we are aware of it or not. I have heard so many stories of folks who were destitute or overcome with sadness, people actually so depressed that they were contemplating taking their own lives, but by simply being kind we have somehow touched someone’s heart enough to change their minds, giving someone just enough kindness to remind them that life can be worth living. Maybe everyday can’t be gumdrops and rainbows but many can if we allow it! Whether Lisa you realized it or not – just telling your story was enough to start my day off with a better attitude than how I woke up! So thanks for that! It matters, we just have to let go of the control of who or how we make a difference,

Micha’ele, I love your post, thank you….. I think for me it was reaffirming that sometimes we can be challenged by the universe for reasons we don’t know….in these times we have choices and choosing kindness is always a positive choice

Hhhhmmm … perhaps there is a retirement home where a lovely older person doesn’t have any family visit them – am sure they would love the flowers !

      Hi Karen!

Yes this is something that is on the list to do also….

for the past 14 years and still to present, because of family association with a nursing home, we spend a lot of time volunteering, helping with activities, visiting with the residents etc etc – so because of that significant involvement I have spread the kindness in other areas….. but thank you for your comment and I will consider that for a secret surprise when I am back from my USA kindness holiday :-)
